This biographical dictionary includes as much professional and personal information on journalists as could be found by researching both the printed and non-printed surviving material in libraries, archives, institutions and private collections in both the United Kingdom and Ireland. Also resulting from this research is the discovery of several thousand addresses at which individual journalists resided at one point of their lives and provides a useful additional resource for those researching the history of places.
